Here is a list of our most frequently asked questions.
Q. I want to order some invitations but I would like to make some customizations. Is this possible?
A. Yes. Some customizations can be made during the ordering process, such as paper selection and basic changes. For further customizations, please check out our ELITE section, or contact us so we can create a personalized quote for you.
Q. What types of paper do you use?
A. We use many different types of paper, but one thing we always try to do is use recycled paper. Most of the paper types we use are 100% recycled, varying from 30-100% PCW. For more information on our environmental efforts, please visit our Going Green section.
Q. What types of printing do you use?
A. We offer up to three different print methods (depending on the design) which include:
Pro Ink Jet - This is the fastest print method. We use archival inks on a pro-quality ink jet printer to produce your order in-house. This is usually the cheapest method as well, and most people can't tell the difference.
Offset - This is the standard method of printing. Ink is laid flat onto the paper, resulting in crisp text and lines, and solid colors. Whenever possible, we use soy-based inks, which are better for the environment.
Letterpress - The old-fashioned method of printing where the ink is actually pressed into the paper using metal or polymer plates, leaving an indentation. The tactile sensation is part of the appeal of this traditional method of printing.
Q. When I order invitations, how long will it take to receive them?
A. Our standard delivery estimate is 2-4 weeks, however we can expedite your order if you are in a hurry. Additional fees may apply. More time may be necessary depending on the complexity of the order.
Q. Do your invitations include envelopes?
A. Yes, each invitation set includes a matching outer envelope and response envelope and return address printing. If you are interested in computer calligraphy (recipient addressing) we offer that as well.
Q. What do the prices include?
A. Most of the invitations include the Invitation, Response Card and Coordinating Envelopes with Matching Return Address Printing as well as any of the pockets, ribbons and embellishments shown in the photos.
Q. Can I get a sample invitation?
A. Yes, you can. Unfortunately, not all invitations have samples showing all print methods. We will send you anything we can to help show your final product. Samples are $5 for up to two invitation styles and include Free Shipping. You may purchase them here, just let us know which style you would like to see in the box provided.
Q. i see I can add on Thank You Notes, what will that include?
A. Yes, you can. If you choose to add on Thank You notes they will be created and designed to match the invitation ensemble as well as be personalized to use your names/monogram if you would like. We will send you a full design pdf before anything is printed. You can make simple changes to the designs at that point. Adding the thank you notes also includes coordinating envelopes and return address printing to match.
Q. I am interested in ordering a Guest Book, what will it look like?
A. The Guest Books are created to match the invitations, they are roughly 8.5 x 11 (folded size) and come with 20 interior blank pages, leaving your guests more than enough space to write, draw, add a photo, anything! They include personalization with your names and wedding date. We can include a quote on the front cover as well. We will be sure to email you a pdf proof of the guest book cover before it is printed and assembled. Each Guest Book is handmade and we make sure to use top quality materials and finishing services! Covers will use the same paper or complementing paper to the invitations and the interior will use a heavyweight text paper. Guest Books also come with a bookmark or small card to place around the guest book.

Q. How much do your ELITE invitations cost?
A. Each set is priced individually, due to the custom nature, but all ELITE orders have a $2,000 minimum.
General FAQ
Q. How are my items to be shipped?
A. We use the USPS for shipping of our stationery products. For orders that weigh under 13 ounces, we ship First Class. For orders over 13 ounces, we ship Priority, unless of course you choose an alternate shipping method upon checkout.
Q. What is the timeline if I order from the Stationery Shop?
A. All items ship within 5 days of your order being placed. Typically we ship within 3 days of payment being received or sooner if possible. We understand that you are patiently awaiting your new goodies and we hate to make you wait too long!
Q. I am from outside of the United States, how do you handle Customs Fees?
A. At Earmark we are not responsible for any additional custom fees that are accrued during delivery for any and all international orders.
Q. Are your products available for wholesale?
A. Yes. If you are interested in carrying our stationery in your shop, please contact us for a wholesale catalog and other information.
Q. Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
A. We are happy to refund you if the item is not as shown/promised in the shop listing. We ask that you send the item back in the condition as it was received. At that time we will refund your money or exchange the item. We cannot issue refunds/exchanges for any specific color issues. Unfortunately, we cannot control how the colors look on each and every computer monitor out there. We will accept your return if the item is damaged, even though we do not have control over the item once it leaves our hands. There will be a 10% restocking fee and you are to pay the shipping fees to return the item. Please make sure to read the item descriptions VERY CAREFULLY. We cannot except returns if you simply do not read the sizing, colors, materials used that we provide in each listings description.
